As we approach the end of 2023, we’re pleased to announce that we’re finished on a real high by winning big at the national Pitched Roofing Awards which were held recently in Manchester. The award came after we were shortlisted for the Prince Rock Primary School project in Plymouth and we were singled out for an unrivalled level of craftsmanship.

Up against an incredibly high standard of work, Stormforce walked away with the top award for the Lead Roofing category and were presented with it by the former GB Hockey player and Olympic Gold medalist, Sam Quek MBE.

The event, held at the Midland Hotel in central Manchester brought together the great and good of the roofing industry but not everyone returned home a winner … but we did at Stormforce.

It should also be noted that although we won this award, we were actually shortlisted in two other awards on the same evening … better luck next year. But that didn’t spoil the event at all and we gave ourselves the chance to celebrate properly before returning to Plymouth the next day.

Commenting on the prestigious win, Stormforce, Company Director Adrian Howe said: “Winning awards such as this demonstrates two things. Firstly, it shows that the quality of the work we do is of a very high standard and it’s clearly as good, if not better, than anything nationally. Secondly, it confirms that ‘good work’ comes from ‘team work’. We have a great team here at Stormforce and this award belongs to all of them, not just the guys that went up to Manchester to collect it.”
